Sunny Days for Jason has been an annual event on the Marcoola Philosophical Society's colourful social calendar since 2012. Now in it's 6th year, it has more than tripled in size, attracting campers and day visitors alike for a great weekend of live music and all round good times.
Sunny Days for Jason was started in memory of Jason Sealey, who passed away in 2011 at the age of 27 after a long battle with cancer. The communities of Thargomindah in far western Queensland (Jason's home town) and the Sunshine Coast come together every year to keep his memory, and those of others that have passed, alive by getting together to make more fun memories with old and new friends.
This weekend really is an event for all ages, attracting people from all stages and walks of life. With great Aussie bands from all over Queensland making the trip to Kenilworth Homestead to perform for guests. The Sunny Days for Jason community is tight knit, but always growing and welcoming new members. Everyone is welcome to come along, bring your families and friends, and join us for a weekend you won't soon forget!
Organised each year by a group best known by the pseudonym of the "Marcoola Philosophical Society", who specialise in anything but philosophy. Sunny Days for Jason is a non-profit event, with any money raised donated to worthwhile causes in our community.
