Sunny Days for Jason is a non-profit event. Our goal is to help individuals and families in our community who fall on hard times due to illness, and need a little help paying the bills or buying important medical equipment. Due to your generosity and support our organisation has so far donated more than $40,000, with individual donations ranging between $300 and $8,000.
Organised each year by a group best known by the pseudonym of the "Marcoola Philosophical Society", who specialise in anything but philosophy. Sunny Days for Jason has been an annual event on the Marcoola Philosophical Society's colourful social calendar since 2012. Now in it's 7th year, it has more than tripled in size, attracting campers and day visitors alike for a great weekend of live music and all round good times.
Sunny Days for Jason was started in memory of Jason Sealey, who passed away in 2011 at the age of 27 after a long battle with cancer. The communities of Thargomindah in far western Queensland (Jason's home town) and the Sunshine Coast come together every year to keep his memory, and those of others that have passed, alive by getting together to make more fun memories with old and new friends.
Sunny Days for Jason is held at:
7 Maleny Kenilworth Road
Kenilworth QLD 4574
Food, entertainment, and activities will be available from Friday night through to Sunday morning, and guests are welcome to camp all week.
